The pandemic put cinemas in an extremely difficult position. The city, as in previous years, will financially support Krakow’s studio cinemas. This year, the amount allocated to aid is PLN 350,000. Applications for funding are submitted until March 26.
Small venues keep the old charm of movie watching alive
There are currently 7 studio cinemas in Krakow: Agrafka, Kijów, Kika, Kino Pod Baranami, Mikro, Paradox, and Sfinks, which are an important element of the cultural landscape of the city. For many years they have been centers for cultivating film culture, places where screenings, festivals, high-profile premieres, and visits by the most important big screen makers are organized. The last year has been a real challenge for cinemas – long months of complete closure, and now the possibility of half-full rooms translates significantly into the condition of these institutions.
Once a fan of the big screen, always a fan!
Krakow residents of Mikro and Kijów cinemas asked for financial support – fans of movies on the big screen reacted immediately, the collected sums will help them survive the next weeks or months.
In Krakow, the “Plan to support cultural activities conducted in studio cinemas” has been implemented since 2019. As part of which an open competition of offers addressed to non-governmental organizations is announced annually. In 2020, the city granted a subsidy of 121,000 PLN for events organized in Krakow’s studio cinemas, and a year earlier, in 2019, the subsidy was 93,500 PLN. This year, the city will spend 350,000 PLN on cultural activities in Krakow’s studio cinemas.
Applications can be submitted for funds
Until March 26, Krakow’s studio cinemas may submit applications for funding for their cultural activities. The open tender competition is addressed to institutions with statutory activities in the field of culture, art, protection of cultural goods and national heritage. The amount of co-financing for a given initiative may not exceed 50,000 PLN and 90% of the total cost of the task.
The device is to be installed at the intersection of ul. Wileńska and Al. 29 Listopada. It is supposed to measure the noise level every … second. If all goes according to plan, the decibel meter will start measuring noise at the end of March. The test results can be checked on a special website that will be launched after the device starts working.
The first unit is to be installed as part of a test project. If it turns out that the research will bring concrete results, more decibel meters will appear in the city.
Noise measurement tests
According to Michał Pyclik from the Krakow Municipal Roads Authority, noise measurements will be able to provide data that can then be used by residents and companies that may be interested in the noise level in a given place.
The cost of such a test is about PLN 5,000 PLN. This is how much it costs to buy and install the device. It will be installed in a street with heavy traffic, connected to a street lamp. We have the infrastructure necessary to conduct such tests.

Krakow music, film, literary, theater, and photography festivals have been important points on the cultural map of Poland and Europe for many years. What will they look like this year? Will artists come to Krakow and the audience will fill real halls? Time will tell because, as they say, the situation is dynamic.
Hybrid model – both online and offline
The slogan “hybrid model”, previously associated with the automotive industry, made a tremendous career in 2020 also in the world of culture. Everything indicates that the hybrid model of the festival organization will stay with us for a longer time.
Hybrid events will stay with us for sure. We learn to be flexible and quickly react to sanitary restrictions that change every now and then. Therefore, when planning events for 2021, we immediately program them in such a way as to be able to invite the audience whenever possible.
Michał Zalewski from the Krakow Festival Office, the organizer of numerous Krakow festivals, incl. Film Music Festival, Conrad Festival, Copernicus Festival, Misteria Paschalia Festival of Early Music.
Misteria Paschalia Festival of Early Music will be available online this year and will be available on the Play Krakow platform.
Krakow Festivals 2021 – how will they be held?
The 78th Hollywood Foreign Press Association awards ceremony is behind us. This year, due to the pandemic, the winners received the Golden Globes virtually and on a changed date. The Oscar-winning gala, traditionally held in February, has been moved to April. In the fall, the 58th National Festival of Polish Song is to be held in Opole. And what will this year’s Krakow festivals look like and on what dates will they be held?
Krakow Film Festival 2021 – Hybrid model
Invariably, on the last Sunday of May, the Krakow Film Festival will begin, the 61st edition will, of course, be a hybrid one.
We will be present both in the stationary and online version, the opening gala will take place in the Kijów cinema and at the same time on the streaming platform, as well as film screenings. The heart of the festival is the audience reacting live in Krakow cinemas and direct meetings with filmmakers and heroes. We treat online activities as an addition to the traditional festival, but after last year’s edition, we know that over 40% of people who participated in the festival took part in it for the first time precisely because it was online.
Olga Lany, spokeswoman for the Krakow Film Festival
The organizers of last year’s festivals, who decided to postpone the dates of the events, could see that there may not be a better date. How will it be this year? Some have decided to stick to the usual deadlines, others will wait for autumn hoping for less sanitary restrictions.
Virtual Space VS Hybrid model
Last year’s Jewish Culture Festival was mostly held in virtual space, stretched over time for several months, this year the organizers hope that in June and July they will be able to meet the audience live and that the situation is dynamic, the date is sure, but in what formula the fans of Shalom na Szeroka will take part. Only time will tell…
There will definitely be a lot of outdoor activities in which you will be able to participate regardless of the pandemic situation. However, when talking to each artist, we discuss 2 scenarios from the beginning – one ideal for a festival like the one above, when artists and the audience can come and perform in Krakow, and the other – for a festival under some strong regime.
Robert Gądek from the JCF
People of Krakow long for culture!
The fact that Cracovians long for contact with live culture was shown by the opening weekend of cinemas and museums, interest in the first concerts after lockdown. We want to return to the model we know of participating in live cultural events, and festivals are a very popular part of it. We are happy to attend online events that would be beyond our reach live, but we also like to return to real halls. And, as last year’s International Street Theater Festival has shown, the audience can be disciplined, keep their distance, and observe restrictions. This year’s festivals will therefore be a test of the crisis for viewers, participants, and organizers.
This year will be a difficult year for all the organizers because the cultural sector is also in crisis. There is much less money, but we are doing everything to make the festivals take place – shorter and on a smaller scale, but certainly at the same high level as in previous years.
Michał Zalewski from the Krakow Festival Office
News taken from Gazeta Krakowska – follow the link for the Polish version.
We look into the future with courage, we are open to changes, but we do not forget about what is most important to us – traditional offline meetings – emphasizes Zuzanna Oettingen, Project Manager of the International Book Fair in Krakow. This year’s 24th edition is planned for mid-October and, according to the latest findings, it is to combine the traditional formula of the fair in the EXPO Kraków hall with online activities.
Last year the International Book Fair took place virtually
Thousands of titles, a rich accompanying program, several hundred exhibitors, writers, and tens of thousands of literature lovers – this is what the International Book Fair in Krakow has looked like for years. Until last year. During the pandemic, literary shopping and meetings and the Gala of Jan Długosz took place virtually. And as the organizers of the Fair emphasize, although, on the one hand, these events satisfied the hunger for meetings for a while, on the other hand, they reminded us of how important it was to meet in the real world.
Missing out on the human connection
People miss emotions and unforgettable impressions – the organizers point out. They want to share experiences, get to know each other, and gain knowledge other than by asking questions in a chat. The upcoming edition of the International Book Fair in Krakow is to make readers from all over the country feel that they are not alone. Literature brings people together and makes loneliness go by the wayside. The possibility of talking to another person, exchanging a smile, a warm look can work wonders.
International Book Fair in Krakow will be held in October 2021
Changes and modifications, ubiquitous last year in almost every field, did not spare the event’s organizers. According to the latest findings, the International Book Fair in Krakow will traditionally be held in October this year, but this time it will start a little earlier than in previous years – between 14 and 17 October. Their traditional formula, which includes – following the previous year – also online events, will also change slightly. This year, the fair is to take place in a hybrid manner, and apart from meetings in the EXPO Kraków hall, participants will also be able to take advantage of virtual events.
A hybrid version: both onsite and online!
Changes teach flexibility, give courage and make us adapt to new circumstances faster. This is what the International Book Fair in Krakow will be like – tailored to the current needs of publishers and readers – the organizers announced.
For this reason, among others, this year’s motto of the Fair is the quote “Man lives by change” by Stanisław Lem. This year we are also celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the most outstanding Polish futurologist. During the International Book Fair, which he visited many times, there will be talks about the future, the development of technology and its impact on human life.
Book translators are welcome!
The novelty of this year’s edition will be a special space for book translators. In this way, the organizers want to emphasize their huge role in the creative process. The invited guests will answer the questions – how to become a translator, what is the most important thing when working on a text, and what problems they face in their daily work.
The organization of the 24th edition of the International Book Fair also changed the layout of the event.
The new layout reflects the nature of the upcoming edition. We look into the future with courage, we are open to changes, but we do not forget about what is most important to us – traditional offline meetings – emphasizes Zuzanna Oettingen, Project Manager.

Na Zabłociu – in the building at ul. Tadeusza Romanowicza 4 (in the former Telpod electronics factory) – a self-service beer shop has been opened. You can get a bottle on-site, and you pay with a special card.
The only self-service bar in Krakow!
Let us remind you that due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is still not possible to eat in pubs and restaurants “on the spot”.
The owners of a new – as they say “the only one in Krakow” – self-service beer store, opened in Zabłocie, came up with an innovative idea. It’s called “NALE SE”.
“We offer 12 taps and 2 PET bottle formats – 0.5 and 1 L, but with us, you decide how much to pour!” – we read on the store’s Facebook profile.
Self-service beer shop. How it’s working?
Payment handling is related to the sale of prepaid cards for multiple reloads, which can be purchased at the premises. These can be topped up on the spot or via a special mobile application. Then it is placed in the reader above the tap with the beer that interests us and poured as much as we want (and the funds on the card).
We have to postpone the plans for a pub where you can sit and drink a beer for a while because of the current restrictions. However, we are opening up as a store where you can stock up on bottles and pour to take away
The originator of “Nalej Se”
Self-service beer shop in Zabłocie
“We hope to give our clients a lot of fun while playing the role of a bartender. And something good to taste while a normal pub visit is still a memory” – he adds.
To make your bar experience even richer, the restaurant also serves a wide range of snacks and beer dishes.
Shop, pub, or museum?
The beer shop and multitap were opened in Zabłocie in a private student residence building. The huge building used to be the seat of the former Telpod, a factory of electronic components that powered UNITRA devices, including TV sets, tape recorders and other audio-video devices, once hosted in every Polish home.
We commemorated the times of one of the largest companies in post-war Krakow. In cooperation with the Communications School Complex, we have created a decor and an interactive wall on which there will be antique devices and components manufactured in the plant since 1946 – says the owner and originator of the exhibition. We encourage you to visit our store and the museum section, where you can personally listen to reports about the facility from historic Kasprzak tape recorders. And return home with a few bottles of the best Polish beers

The Road Authority of the City of Krakow presented the immediate plans for the construction of city parking lots. The construction of park & ride car parks in Bronowice and at the Hutnik hall in Nowa Huta is to begin this year. Tenders for the design of another 6 park & ride parking lots, including the extension of the existing facility in Ruczaj, are also to be announced. There are also plans for smaller neighborhood car parks.
This year, the Roads Authority of the City of Krakow plans to start the construction of 2 park & ride parking lots. The first of them, for about 200 places, is to be built as part of the construction of the transfer junction in Bronowice.
Parking park and ride Bronowice
The contract for the construction of the node in Bronowice has been signed, we have concepts, now the contractor will start design works, then construction works – we plan that they will start at the end of the year
ZDMK
As part of the investment, a public transport bus station will be designed, equipped with the infrastructure necessary for passenger service, in particular: bus parking spaces, stops, ticket sales points, waiting rooms, information systems, and toilets.
The station will be located inside the connector of the road junction at ul. Balicka and the Home Army. The roofing bus station is to be the first tier multi-level parking for cars where the driver and leaving your vehicle will be able to change for the tram, bus, or train (park and ride systems). The investment is to be carried out by Budimex, which submitted a tender for PLN 51.6 million.
“Suche Stawy” park and ride parking at the Hutnika Kraków hall
In the case of the park & ride car park “Suche Stawy” Suche Stawy, ZDMK plans to announce a tender so that the first works will start this year. The car park is to be built in the vicinity of the tram stop “Suche Stawy”, the Sports and Entertainment Hall “Suche Stawy”, the City Stadium Hutnik Kraków (Suche Stawy), the Sports and Recreation Center Com-Com Zone Nowa Huta.
This parking lot for approx. 90 vehicles has been planned for several years. The idea for this investment is to renovate the damaged surface of the existing above-ground car park in front of the Hutnik hall made of concrete slabs. The lighting will also be recreated with the electricity supply system.
In order to adapt the car park for the needs of the “park and ride” system, devices with the parking system software will be installed. Among them, there will be terminals, barriers, automatic cash register, monitoring, and a visual information system – boards informing about the car park filling status.
More park & ride car parks in Krakow are planned
In addition, it is planned to announce a tender for the development of design documentation along with obtaining construction permits for the following tasks:
extension (superstructure) of the P&R Czerwone Maki car park in Ruczaj;
P&R “Mydlniki SKA” (SKA – fast agglomeration railway) car park, next to the railway stop (ul. Balicka-Gradowa);
P&R “Bieżanów-Drożdżownia SKA” car park at the Kraków Drożdżownia railway stop (area at the intersection of Rakuś – Zamłynie – Lipowskiego Streets);
P&R “Olszanica” car park at the railway stop, Powstania Styczeńowego street;
P&R “Księcia Józefa” car park (Wodociągowa Street);
parking in the vicinity of the Kraków – Opatkowice SKA railway stop.
Additional parking spaces for cars
As part of other investment tasks, ZDMK also plans the:
construction of a car park on the estate At Arka 5, on an area of approximately 300 sq m (design documentation is to be developed in 2021);
construction of parking bays on the estate 2 Pułku Lotniczego in the area of block 46 on the area of approx. 260 square meters (design documentation is to be developed in 2021)
construction of parking spaces on the estate Green, bl. 15-16 (in 2021, the development of design documentation is to be completed and the construction of parking spaces on an area of approx. 115 sq m is planned to start);
construction of parking spaces on the estate Spółdzielczy, bl. 8 (in 2021, the development of design documentation is to be completed and the construction of parking spaces on an area of approximately 400 sq m is to be started);
reconstruction and extension of the car park in front of the Jordanian garden at ul. Kielecka 9 (in 2021, the development of design documentation is to be completed and the investment will be completed, parking spaces will be built on a total area of approx. 290 sq m).
Housing estate car parks
As part of the parking space construction program, this year the following car parks are to be built:
on os. Metallurgical – a contract was signed for the development of design documentation (deadline June 2021),
at ul. Zuchów – a contract for the development of design documentation was signed (deadline June 2021).
The Rząska-Mydlniki-Wapiennik park and ride car park is being completed
The construction of the Rząska-Mydlniki-Wapiennik transfer junction with a park & ride car park for 87 cars is near the end. “The contractual completion date for the investment is April 2021. There are, among others, terminal equipment, technical building, installation of lighting poles, transformer station, target road marking” – informs the ZDMK.
Currently, works related to the construction of parking spaces at ul. Czerwieński.

The entitlements of the Krakow Card allows you to purchase season tickets at a lower price. Persons registered in Krakow or paying taxes here from February 1 can also use the new type of semi-annual ticket “5 + 1”. What is it all about?
Semi-annual tickets with discounts
The cost of purchasing such a ticket is 420 PLN in total. However, people who choose this type of ticket will not have to pay the full amount in advance. The fee will be charged automatically every month from the payment card indicated by the passenger – for five months it will be 80 PLN, and for the sixth month it will be 20 PLN or in the case of a concessionary ticket – 40 PLN for five months and 10 PLN for the sixth month (provided that a cheaper ticket is used) in the sixth month there are no gaps between the validity of individual tickets).
How to buy a 5 + 1 ticket?
First of all, you need to register for the Electronic Passenger Account at m.kkm.krakow.pl
After providing the required data and confirming the registration, the account will be created. You must then log in with your e-mail address and password.
Since the 5 + 1 ticket can be purchased only by persons with the status of the Krakow Card, the already existing Card with the Resident’s rights must be added to the created account, either in a mobile form or saved on a plastic card. To do this, select the “My cards” („Moje karty”) and “Add card” („Dodaj kartę”) tabs. A form will appear in which you must select the card type (e.g. mKK, KK plastic card, KKM – depending on where the Resident status is saved) and the customer code (copied from the card) and PESEL number.
To buy a 5 + 1 ticket, go to the “5 + 1 ticket” tab, subscribe (automatic renewal of the purchase every month) and complete the purchase.
The last step is the payment for the purchased ticket, made on the website of the TPay payment operator. It is done by adding information about the payment card, from which the funds for the ticket purchase will be charged every month. From now on, every month until the end of the 5 + 1 cycle, the payment card provided will be charged with the correct amount and another ticket will be automatically purchased under the subscription.
Yours truly,
The Twisted Red LadyBug, bringing you Krakow Info 🙂
Krakow is a city that hides many romantic places perfect for a date. However, the list has been heavily truncated by the coronavirus pandemic. We will not take a loved one to a candlelit dinner in one of the restaurants in the Old Town this year. This does not mean that we can only arrange romantic meetings at home. In Krakow, we still find charming places where you can go for a romantic walk. Many of them are now deserted, so it’s the perfect time to meet outdoors with your significant other – not to mention that the freezing temperatures outside just keep everyone else in 😉
Washington Avenue
Washington Avenue is one of the most beautiful avenues in Krakow, 1.1 km long. The avenue leads from Salwator to the Kościuszko Mound, it is planted with trees, 31 of which are monuments of nature. Perfect place for a date.
Bednarski Park
Opened with great fanfare at the end of the 19th century, the park’s founder Wojciech Bednarski was reportedly carried around like a winning quarterback for his accomplishment, while newspapers as far away as St. Petersburg applauded the park’s establishment. Officially Bednarski Park occupies 9.2 hectares, but the green terrain above the center of Podgrze basically covers the entire area between Rynek Podgórski in the East and the Mateczny Roundabout in the West.
The Wolski Forest
500 ha forest complex that is totally worth your while! There are hiking trails, walking paths and bike trails. Wolski Forest has been called one of Kraków’s best diversions since it is not exactly on any beaten path yet so attractive and beautiful. The terrain is not difficult but it does include hilly areas especially Sowiniec Hill .Cross country skiing trails are popular during the winter. There are total of 35 km (22 miles) of hiking, biking trails here. Some areas are nature preserves within the Forest but entire forest is protected. The zoo is worth the visit as well and you can reach it via Wolski Forest walking trails.
The Colourful Stairs of Podgorze
One of the city’s youngest landmarks. It is located at Tatrzanska Street in Podgorze and it has been painted in many collors in 2013 – during the Fresh Zone contest. It is a very Instagramable place 😉 The project was called ‘Watch your step’ – and this is the main topic of the installation. The authors, Agnieszka Rola and Monika Pasek, wanted to give life to the forgotten steps, therefore they have covered them in colors and meaningful sentences, e.g. one of the steps is covered with a sentence ‘Nigdy nie dorosnij’, which means ‘Never grow up’.
Ballon Flight with DobraAtmosfera.pl
You can see if the balloon from DobraAtmosfera is not flying and give that a go! Every time before coming to the balloon please make sure that flights are being held by calling +48 500 350 505. Flights take place only if weather conditions are relevant! Flights can be suspended due to the change of weather without information in advance.
From their site: The installation is first in Poland, and one of only a few around the world. Krakow is an outstanding city, which should be shown to tourists and citizens exactly from up above:
„From a birds view – unlike in many European cities, in Krakow the middle ages’ city plan is clearly visible. When we raise above rooftops, we will see rare checked street system, nowadays surrounded only by ruins of the defensive wall.
The view speaks to the mind and recalls the fascinating image of Thirteen Century’s Stronghold City, surrounded by walls, reinforced with 47 towers, ran around for 3 km. 8 main gates led to the city. Until today only one of them preserved. The walls protected not only people but also architectural pearls.”
A walk along the Vistula River
The Vistula, the longest and largest river in Poland, is the 9th-longest river in Europe, at 1,047 kilometers (651 miles) in length.The drainage-basin, reaching into three other nations covers 193,960 km2 (74,890 sq mi), of which 168,868 km2 (65,200 sq mi) is in Poland – 54% of Poland. And this lovely river passes through Krakow and provides a wonderful place to promenade with your loved one!
Father Bernatek Footbridge
Linking Kazimierz and Podgorze suburb, this over 140m long bridge spans the Wisla river providing a safe and pleasant crossing to pedestrians and cyclists since 2010. It also runs as a padlock bridge (of course we had to have one!). So… you can always buy a lock and declare your love and throw the key in the Vistula River. Though I would not recommend that… if you are eco-friendly 😉
Krakow Mounds
Krakow’s two prehistoric landmarks, the Mound of Krak (Kopiec Kraka) and the Mound of Wanda (Kopiec Wandy) have always mystified historians. Scholars maintain they were either the 7th-century monumental tombs or fortifications or pagan temples.
Tyniec
You can actually walk to Tyniec from the City center, along the Vistula River.
A tender for a new electric city bike is to be announced in February. The city plans that if all goes well, there will be 1000 bicycles at 100 stations available for residents already around the holidays. These are also to be located on the periphery and in less urbanized neighborhoods. The new municipal electrics are to be access function to means of public collective transport.
A tender for electric bikes is up!
“We will announce the tender in February. To start with, we want a thousand bikes. The inhabitants do not massively use and do not know electric bikes, so we want to distribute them. That is why we do not go straight to the level of three thousand bikes. We will be the first city in Poland to offer an electric city bike” – says Łukasz Franek, director of the Public Transport Authority (ZTP).
A new system – lease for min 4 years
The new system of the Krakow city bike (there is no official name yet) works differently from the Wavelo system, where the costs of the system, but also the income, were on the operator’s side. Now, Krakow wants to have a service, at least for 4 years, for which it will pay, as it pays MPK and Mobillis for transport services.
The costs behind it
What costs are we talking about? ZTP estimates that it will be approx. PLN 5-7 million per year. For the implementation of the bicycle policy, including the city bicycle system in Krakow, in 2021 the city budget has allocated less than PLN 10 million.
“The interested companies declare that they are able to prepare the system in 3 months. Theoretically, the bike could be available during the holidays, I do not want to declare it. The situation is what it is. It may turn out that there are no bikes or companies will miss financially. You also have to take into account appeals from the tender” – emphasizes Łukasz Franek.
1000 bicycles at 100 stations, including a lot on the outskirts
ZTP officials assume that the basic function of the new city bike will be the function of accessing public means of collective transport. In addition, the electric bicycle is to play an important communication function in the more peripheral, less urbanized regions of Krakow. Initially, there will be about 100 stations (10 bikes for each station) and they are to be evenly distributed throughout the city. Thus, there will be less accumulation of stations in the very center of Krakow.
Hubs outside of the city + on the outskirts
The stations would appear, among others in such locations as Tyniec or the area of ul. Klasztorna. It is also about places where there is a bicycle infrastructure, there are paths for bicycles, thanks to which you can cover longer distances on electrics, up to 10-15 km. For now, it remains unknown how much the residents will pay for the new city bike, whether it will be somehow related to the public transport ticket tariff, etc.
“If we were to make an ordinary bicycle, we can repeat the Wavelo model, but here we want flexibility, where the stations are integrated with public transport, where it is possible to change and correct it” – adds Łukasz Franek.
Wavelo bikes left Krakow
Let us remind you that Wavelo has been operating in Krakow since 2016. It was very popular among residents and tourists. The Krakow authorities have signed a contract with BikeU to run a city bike rental facility for as many as eight years, until 2024. As part of it, BikeU provided residents with up to 1500 bicycles available at one time at 168 stations located throughout the city.
The Krakow city bike solution was quite innovative, because all costs and responsibility for the system were borne by the concessionaire, i.e. BikeU. The city paid only PLN 1 month for each bike, i.e. PLN 1,500. In addition, the city got 1 percent. loan receipts.
At the end of 2019, however, the BikeU company suddenly submitted a letter to the Krakow City Hall terminating the contract for running the Wavelo bicycle rental. More Wavelo two-wheelers began to disappear from Krakow. Ultimately, it happened at the beginning of 2020.
“We are winning the Friend of Krakow Badge” – is a campaign organized by the Grodzkie PTTK Society in Krakow. Currently, the 49th season of this campaign is underway – this time, however, unusual, because due to the epidemic, it takes the form of free, open online meetings, broadcast live on YouTube.
Who wants to earn a “Friend of Krakow” badge?
The general principles of the campaign are such that the Friend of Krakow badge can be obtained by anyone who participates in a certain number of lectures and walks around Krakow. Depending on the number of such meetings, a person can count on a bronze, silver, gold, or peacock badge.
Currently, due to restrictions related to the epidemic, walks are suspended, and meetings are only held online. They started in November and are planned until March, and are run by licensed city guides of PTTK in Krakow and museum staff.
What can you learn during these walks/sessions?
So far, several dozen online meetings have been held as part of the PTTK campaign “We are winning the Friend of Krakow Badge”. Their participants had the opportunity to listen to stories, for example, about the literary Krakow, the secrets of Długa Street, the Rakowicki cemetery, the defense of Krakow in the past centuries, about famous Krakow families, monasteries and monasteries, about lost churches or about old and modern Krakow libraries, city villas and palaces, theaters and cabarets, the Planty Park in Krakow, and the history and monuments of Podgórze.
The sessions on February 6th and 7th
This weekend, PTTK meetings also promise to be very interesting, so it’s worth making a reservation to take part in them. On Saturday, February 6, lectures on “Secrets of Krupnicza Street” (9:30) and “Krakow Synagogues” (11:30) are scheduled. However, on Sunday, February 7 at At 9:30 am there will be a meeting “Non-obvious Krakow. On the trail of Krakow artists’, and at 11:30 – lecture by the Society of Krakow History and Monuments Lovers “Krakow at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries” – for people who receive the “Pawim Piór” badge (the Peacock Badge).
Practical Information for the meetings
To take part in the walks as part of the campaign, it is enough to report to the meeting point specified in the program. Participation in the walks is free.
In the case of topics described under the slogan ” seat reservation “, you should contact the Grodzki PTTK Society in advance to download the “seat reservation ” – with the given time of entry. Seats result from the limitation of the number and size of groups in some visited facilities. Seats are issued against payment – the price includes an admission ticket to the visited facility and the VAT due.
