Anyone who is hospitalized for at least 14 days after vaccination against COVID-19 or who suffered from the anaphylactic shock will be eligible for compensation. In the article below I present a list of compensation benefits and the amounts that will be received for them as a result of vaccinations.

The injured patients as a result of adverse effects after vaccination against COVID-19 will get up to 100,000 PLN . To this end, the government established a Compensation Fund, which is to start operating in May. What conditions will have to be met to get compensation?
- Observation in a hospital emergency department or emergency room due to anaphylactic shock – PLN 3,000
- Hospitalization due to anaphylactic shock lasting less than 14 days – PLN 10,000
- Hospitalization lasting from 14 days to 30 days – from PLN 10,000 to PLN 20,000
- Hospitalization lasting from 31 days to 50 days – from PLN 21,000 to PLN 35,000
- Hospitalization lasting from 51 days to 70 days – from PLN 36,000 to PLN 50,000
- Hospitalization lasting from 71 days to 90 days – from PLN 51,000 to PLN 65,000
- Hospitalization lasting from 91 days to 120 days – from PLN 66,000 to PLN 89,000 – in proportion to the period of hospitalization
- Hospitalization lasting more than 120 days – PLN 100,000
- The compensation benefit is additionally increased in the case of surgery under general anesthesia – by PLN 15,000
- The compensation benefit is additionally increased in the case of another surgery or a method of treatment or diagnostics that poses an increased risk – by PLN 5,000
- The compensation benefit is additionally increased in the case of hospitalization in an intensive care unit or intensive care unit lasting at least 7 days – by PLN 10,000
- The compensation benefit is additionally increased in the case of hospitalization in an intensive care unit or intensive care for more than 30 days – by PLN 20,000
- The compensation benefit also covers the reimbursement of the costs of further treatment or rehabilitation after the observation or hospitalization is completed, but in the amount not exceeding PLN 10,000

Anyone who is hospitalized for at least 14 days after vaccination against COVID-19 or who suffered from the anaphylactic shock will be eligible for compensation. For example, for a two-week stay in the hospital, we will get 10,000. PLN, and then in mind the principle: the longer in the hospital, the more money. In the event of an anaphylactic shock, the compensation will be PLN 3,000. PLN.
What happens if I die due to the COVID19 vaccine?
However, the draft resolution does not include the death that may occur after an anaphylactic shock. It is not known at the moment, so if this worst-case scenario occurs, his relatives will be entitled to compensation.
Who will pay for it?
The source of financing of the Protective Vaccination Compensation Fund will be payments to the Fund’s bank account made by entities (pharmaceutical companies) that have concluded an agreement with the State Treasury for the supply of vaccines for carrying out mandatory preventive vaccinations carried out under the Protective Vaccination Program.
However, in the case of vaccines purchased under the agreement on the early purchase of vaccines against the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, concluded between the European Commission and European Union Member States, the COVID-19 counteraction fund will be the source of funding.
Who will award the compensation?
Applications for payment of a compensation benefit for adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccines will be submitted to the Rzecznika Praw Pacjenta. The decision will be issued within 60 days from the date of receipt of the application – said Bartłomiej Chmielowiec, the Patient Rights (Rzecznika Praw Pacjenta) spokesperson.
How to submit the paperwork for the compensation?
Documents for compensation may be submitted in traditional or electronic form. A form to be completed by patients will appear on the ombudsman’s website.
Pursuant to the law, a special team will be established, composed of specialist doctors with knowledge and experience in the field of immunization. In each case, the collected medical documentation will be assessed by three doctors.
It was assumed that the draft act would enter into force on May 1, 2021.
